Empowering fleets of all sizes to become safer and more efficient
Prevent accidents with real-time alerts
Edge AI detects risky driving behavior such as tailgating, distraction, fatigue, etc. from video and sensors without uploading video to the cloud. This enables in-cabin coaching with real-time voice and audio alerts to the driver that can prevent bad outcomes.
Driver exoneration with on-demand video
Video evidence is available on-demand to exonerate drivers and protect the fleet in not-at-fault crashes. Video helps prevent insurance fraud and exaggerated claims.
Real time visibility with live streaming
See what the driver is seeing, at any time with real-time video live streaming. Real time visibility helps fleets react in a timely manner when needed.
Improved driver engagement with positive recognition and driver coaching
Personalized insights into driver behavior helps fleets recognize drivers for safe and compliant driving, while coaching when needed to reduce risk and improve safety.

Frequently asked questions
RideView is the world’s most advanced, hardware agnostic video telematics platform built by LightMetrics. It is the most popular video telematics platform among large TSPs in North America. RideView is built for fleets with resellers in mind – reducing TCO for fleets and improving ARPU for resellers. Efficient edge AI delivers cutting edge functionality on commodity hardware. Safety focused fleets have a dedicated coaching workflow for helping drivers become safer. On-demand video for exoneration, video live streaming and driver coaching(in-cabin and offline) help fleets realize the economic benefits of safety. Features such as groups, tagging, user roles, access control, custom events and API access make it ideal for enterprise fleets. LightMetrics was founded in 2015 and is backed by Sequoia India and Beenext. RideView is deployed by marquee TSPs in US, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Australia, India, New Zealand, UK and South Africa.
RideView is the only hardware agnostic video telematics platform – this means as a reseller and partner, you have a choice of dash cameras to choose from – across price points so that you make the right choice for your business and the fleets you serve. No matter which camera is used, the backend, the APIs and the dashboard user experience is identical. From a support and engineering point of view, this makes it very easy for resellers to offer the right solution to their fleet customers.
Fleets have different needs – depending on the country and region they operate in, the business vertical, the type of vehicles they have, the risk profile of the fleet and their safety budget. For e.g., a local delivery vehicle may need only a road and driver facing camera, whereas a mining truck may need cameras all around the vehicle. One size does not fit all – this is why RideView supports a range of dash cameras across price points so that the video telematics market can be captured wider and deeper.
RideView application runs on the camera, storing the video for DVR and running AI and ML algorithms to analyse road and driver facing camera videos. Whenever a risky driving event is detected, the driver is alerted in real time. Resellers can decide what message is to be given for each type of risky driving – audio or voice. There is a lot of configurability for resellers in terms of enable/disable events, rate limiting video, video resolution, video format (picture in picture, road only, driver only, side by side, etc.). Resellers and fleets can also fine tune the AI depending on their preferences. When a risky driving event is detected, an alert is given to the driver. Meta data and a video snippet is uploaded to the cloud immediately. This will be available on the dashboard for viewing. All supported cameras have LTE/4G capability, GPS and G-sensors – and as such, the cameras are completely self-contained.
All events can have videos – it is configurable. Unlike other solutions where videos are available only on demand, videos are uploaded by default for all events. Since RideView also has a severity measure associated with each event, one can view events sorted with riskiest videos first. This saves time for the safety personnel in the fleet.

- directly, sales enablement is a key area of focus. LightMetrics succeeds only when partners succeed
There are multiple ways – from resellers procuring cameras directly from manufacturers (to cut the margin stack) to procuring from LightMetrics (for ease of deployment). Please reach out to LightMetrics for more information.
Resellers have a choice. One can use SIM cards of your own choice (inserted in factory) or procure connectivity from LightMetrics.
Camera installation can be done using the installer app – it is a very user friendly application guiding the installer step by step, verifying the installation correctness automatically at each step. This means fleet technicians can install cameras too. The calibration is completely automatic. RideView does not need fleet personnel to give any inputs like camera height or other information for calibration.
Data uploaded to the cloud is stored for up to 6 months.
